Who
Am I?
I'm a native Californian. I turned 50 years old this February
6th. (I share this birth date with Ronald Reagan and Babe Ruth.)
I was born in Los Angeles and raised in Anaheim. I now live in
Auburn, in Northern California. My wife and I will celebrate our
30th wedding anniversary this coming October. We have one son
(28) and two grandsons (2 & 4).
I'm a second generation American on my Mother's side of the family and
my Father's side of the family goes back to the Revolutionary
War. I will have been with the railroad for 29 years in
April. First with the Southern Pacific beginning in 1977 and
currently with the Union Pacific since 1996 when they purchased the
Southern Pacific
I'm a registered Republican, but I think for myself using logic and
common sense when it comes to the issues. Wearing blinders and
not looking beyond the boundaries of your own party will not meet our
state and country's best interests.
I'm a blue-collar worker and believe that labor unions benefit both the
employees and employers with collective bargaining agreements. I
believe we need to make California more attractive to companies in
order to keep them here and have them move here in order to create more
jobs. I'm a conservative when it comes to Government spending,
and I don't want the Government running our lives.
